9. Sappy outbursts and explosive optimism are not my style, usually.
But our new President (and his lovely First Lady) traveling abroad seem to have inspired the whole world! They are just what we
need right now.:fistbump:

20. And because I am stupid....
..... I didn't realize until just a bit ago that he was standing next to Dmitry Medvedev in that photo.

I'm old enough to remember when the Russsians were the bad guys and ...... Wow ..... that's all I can say ..... wow.

11. Not the whole world. Racists and freepers are very unhappy about him.
I keep running into the Obama the Marxist posts on other forums. All I can do is just sigh and walk away. It takes a phd to battle the fools. I'm just not equipped.

But yes, it's great! Everyone with a brain is happy.

16. "It takes a phd to battle the fools." Nah, freepers don't respond to logic, truth, fairness,
facts, positivity, hope, intelligent discussion, or free thought. No PhD in the world can drag those folks out of their hate-filled, selfish, delusional, paranoid mindset. It's not you.

Really best to just sigh, walk away, and hope for the further evolution of the species. The Obamas certainly prove that human evolution is possible. Hopefully the knuckle draggers will die out soon enough.

Although I still have a lot to learn.

Those who regurgitate political spin are a danger to all.

14. Who's better? Obama or Jesus?
I'd have to go with Obama.

1. He actually exists.

2. He's made the world a better place.

John Lennon

To respond to your two points:

1. How do you know Jesus did not?

2. Jesus wanted his followers to act like He had.

18. Im glad you are happy, but just a mite over the top, heh?
My only hope is that I can make it past the next payday. Many Americans only hope is that it doesnt rain tonite because they dont have a home. And MUCH of the world is just hoping for a scrap of food today so they dont starve.
Thats a might big order for one man. Yes, hope is wonderful, but realism is life.

30. Here's hoping he also renewed some hope here at DU as well.
He had a great day and I know he's destined for more in the future, I hope this helps relieve some of the anxiety and doubt some DUers have been having and convince them that good things come to those who wait.
