Our President and First Lady has been on a non-stop promotion of the United States. From meeting with the populace of Europe in town meetings, to actually listening to leaders from other countries, to giving IPODS (American Technology) , and collections of American movies, promoting American Designers.

The media and right wing hellhounds and even some in here, have been aghast at what the President has been presenting as gifts.

He is our top salesperson moving us back to center stage, and out of the Modorish side stage the Bushites and Cheneyites pulled us into.

Kudos Obama's.. Kudos

Not as scared as they were to come over here. My dance card for visitors had
been empty, now it's filling up.

3. When you put it all together, it does make a lot of sense.. until you
realize that IPod, even though American, is manufactured in China and if you have problems with the technology, you might end up speaking to someone in India. JCrew, do they sew their over-priced items in America? Or do they just take their 200% mark up and call it a day? The movies are probably the most American item.. but that's hollywood.. our glamorized kings and queens.

7. Which is why that, when we lose jobs in America, the fallout shakes the world.
We're ALL interdependent.

8. That's all well and good, but how do you insure a better world with equality.
We do not even have equality in the United States.. Look at the Southern states compared to Manhattan.. or the mid-west compared to L.A. Green is the it; and its costing a lot of money to go green for a lot of people who don't have money. The hotel bus. is hoping on green. Yes the lightbulbs save money, but one broken bulb and the room is off limits for at least a week. The recycle paper cups are super expensive, ad logo, and walla someone else is making tons of money... Does it pay off? No, the rooms are renting like it was the day after 9/11. Who suffers the owner and subsequently the staff with fewer dollars in raise each year. Do big corp care? Nope, they'll be rolling in the dough as usual.

9. The longest part of any journey it the first step out the door
Of course it will cost money to change paradigms

We are big time wind in Iowa.. a thing of beauty.. I foresee in the not that distant future in areas like the plains, homes or cul de sacs with their own wind turbines

You can make gas from cooking oil.. we do it here now.. reuse McDonald's grease pits..

Not everything can be done at one time and in a day..

But that does not mean you do not start a project, you or I may not live to see it completed, but that is not the point.. the point is to begin
