CA-Sen: Carly Fiorina Thinking of Challenging Boxer
Because one failed McCain surrogate with dubious success in the business world just wasn't enough!

WASHINGTON — In the strongest signal yet of her political ambitions, Carly Fiorina said Tuesday that she is "seriously considering" challenging U.S. Sen. Barbara Boxer in next year's California Senate race.

...

Fiorina also said Tuesday that her different roles — the first female CEO of a Fortune 20 company, adviser to a presidential candidate and Washington policy maven on tech issues — would serve her well in any future race.

"I've worn many hats for some time now," Fiorina told a small gathering of reporters. "I've had the opportunity to be involved in the political community, policy community and business, and that's a great advantage. I understand all those realms."

One Republican, Assemblyman Chuck DeVore of Irvine, has already launched his campaign for the nomination to take on Boxer. Speculation has focused on Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger as a potential Senate candidate, but he has said repeatedly that he is not running.

Fiorina would join Meg Whitman, former eBay CEO, as remnants of the disastrous McCain campaign apparently of the opinion that their first failed endeavor in U.S. politics can translate into a successful second one.

This is very good news in one sense: Fiorina had been diagnosed with breast cancer a few months back, so it's wonderful that she is apparently recovering well enough to consider running for office.

Given that polls show her losing to Boxer by 30 points, however, she can probably find a better use of her time than staging a quixotic campaign for Senate in which her chief political credential is that she helped McCain to one of the worst statewide losses in California history.

4. Well She Was Such A Success For The McShame Campaign
They only had to muzzle her a few times before throwing her under the bus entirely. And then there's the great job she did at Hewlett-Packard. Barbara can take her with one arm tied behind her back.

15. She will do for CA
what she did to Hewlett Packard -- ran it into the ground. When her successor came in and cleaned up the mess, the value of HWP doubled.
