Is ther any way of getting rid of "Morning Joe" on MSNBC?
Please, I want something decent to watch on MSNBC in the mornings. Not Joe and his friends.

Who can we replace him with?

7. The only reason to pause on the channel while surfing in the morning is to see Mika almost
fall off of her chair ... one of these days she's going to have to be SENT HOME. ;)

13. Put Marc Maron, Sam Seder, and Thom Hartman on a show with Joe Scumborough.
They could market as something like "The View" for guys.

Maybe add "Joe The Plumber" to serve as the guy-version of Elizabeth Hasselback.

Take her off obscure cable channels like FSTV and LINK, and give her that slot!

5. They should replace Mourning Ho-Jo with Stephanie Miller and "The Mooks"
She mentioned that, to be thoughtful, they'd keep Joe's TV bastard son, Willie Guist because everyone compromises their principles when they make it big time. :spray:

49. IIRC, she and Joe both were both put in the IMIS slot and since Joe is now on the air
I can only presume more viewers prefered Morning Joe (the belly-achers on DU aside) than they cared for Stephanie Miller.

Given that MJ is in second place for the morning (behind FOX ) they must be doing something right and I anticipate MSNBC keeping them in place.

50. I guess some people only prefer shows that have echo chambers like Keith and Rachel
While I see their function in providing an alternate POV to Hannity and/or Bill O. I fail to see the appeal in guest after guest "ditto"ing everything Keith and Rachel say.

Joe S. is, more often than not, an overbearing jackass. But his is one of the few shows where you do get an opportunity to hear both sides of an issue and the show seems to be a favorite among several Obama staffers given the amount of face time they get during the week.

18. I never, ever watch Morning Jo(k)e anymore.....
It is a depressing way to start one's morning....and makes me feel frustrated and forced to write letters and make phone calls & shit.

I DVR CNN's morning news shows while I sleep(they quite a bit better than Morning Jo(k)e, but they use too many repeated segments throughout, and hell of boring personalities), since I'm on the Pacific coast, and usually by the time I wake up, everything has already happened. Then if I hear of some news or some speech by the President, I just play the DVR on fast forward-4 until I get to the parts that I want to see, normally it entails seeing President Obama face flashing acroos my screen to let me know that I have gotten to a viewable parts! Lol.

25. it's annoying
Because the format is pretty good, but Joe really ruins it for me a lot . I was able to watch a couple of times this week without Joe, even with how crazy Mika is.

I post on another Morning Joe board with recovering "addicts", ha. We were thinking of things to watch other than Morning Joe, someone said that there are Golden Girls reruns on in the Morning, and another pointed out that Joe's "When I was in Congress" stories are a lot like Sophia's "picture it...Sicily" stories, but less entertaining.

Media companies like that, btw. Anything that creates a controversy. What they don't like is being ignored.

58. It's MSNBC's token wacko show. I never watch it. And it's really the perfect
time slot for it. Who has time in the morning to sit and watch TV?

Honestly I don't even know exactly when it's on here. Maybe I sleep through most of it, being in the west. In any case, the very last thing I want to do in the morning is hear the TV blare, so even if I were up then, I wouldn't turn it on.
