18 year media ban lifted at Dover AFB this morning
Edited on Mon Apr-06-09 08:43 AM by ClarkUSA
MSNBC had footage of a fallen soldier's coffin offloaded a plane earlier -- with the permission of his family, of course.

Thank you, President Obama! Bush I started it for political reasons and it took a man of ethics and political courage to end it a generation later. :patriot:

1. it is about time when we all get to see and pay some respect
to these Americans who are loosing their lives in such miserable and unwarranted invasions started by those criminals Cheney and Bush.

but its not negative news about Obama so I guess its not that big a deal anymore.

5. Its the right thing to do, we need to honor the fallen not cover it up
As long as the families are okay with it.

9. CNN kept asking "what do you think"....bottom line is the families
determine whether or not the fallen are shown. There was a lady on talking about how important this media ban being lifted is. President Obama did a great thing in changing this bush cover up. People need to see the casualties of war.
