The Obamas and the Clintons will be on Martha's Vineyard at the same time in August.

It will be quite a scene the last two weeks in August with both families there! The Vineyard is such a wonderful place but in smaller spaces, e.g. Edgartown) crowds can be downright claustrophobic (charming tiny streets with little shops get pretty tight). The Obamas will be in the section of the island, Oak Bluffs, with a strong tradition of visiting black families every summer. Lots of Democrats in Martha's Vineyard every year about that time (we go to Mattakeeset, very near Edgartown, right after the 4th of July craziness).

Great place. Great leaders. Can't wait for some pics and some more news coverage...

3. Huh? Guess I shoulda hung out more there! I'm there with the grandkids so

we're not in that position. Once stayed at the Shiretown Inn in a room the size of a walk in closet. I loved it!

But we stay in condos in Mattakeeset and take the kids to South Beach (whatta wild gorgeous beach that is!). Have breakfast at that little air field at Katama and for a shore dinner in Menemsha.
My son in law refuses to wear Black Dog stuff, so he wears a Menemsha Blues T shirt. A T shirt that says "Chappy" is even better...
