Sen Jim Bunning (R-Ky): approval rating 28% & no money
Political Wire is teasing the results of a Public Policy Polling survey out tomorrow that shows Sen. Jim Bunning (R-Ky.) with a rock-bottom 28 percent approval rating.

Even worse for Bunning, the poll shows him losing to all of his prospective Democratic opponents, including Lt. Gov. Daniel Mongiardo.

Kentucky's Sen. Jim Bunning says 2010 fundraising landscape looks "lousy"

...Bunning’s campaign previously reported having about $150,000 on hand—far less than the $1 million to $2 million that political experts suggest Bunning would need by the end of the first quarter to mount a successful run.

1. Hmmm, I hope he keeps up his feud with McConnel and Cornyn
and stays in.

That'll show 'em! Go Bunning!

If Bunning drops out, I think this will be a real tough one to take...

5. Yup, he's toast
when only the Bush supporters are left supporting this guy, then you know he's a dead man walking...
Maybe if Miconnel pushes him too far, Bunning will quit and the governor will appoint a Dem.

I see excellent opportunity here for a "false flag operation".

6. Wasn't there a post a few days ago that he wasn't going to run, so the GOP could recruit a stronger
candidate? otherwise, he would be an almost certain Dem pick up (to even out Dodd, who looks like a loser at this point in '10 in CT)

11. Me too. It should only be a few more months until Coleman's last appeal is exhausted.
