2. They're protesting Obama because he's black.
Any other claim is just a diversion from the real reason.

3. Yes. They only hate bailouts when the workers benefit.

4. Nor are they protesting exorbitant military spending.
Nor were they protesting when Reagan, Moe and Curly rang up 70% of the current national debt.

They're there because the current president is a Democrat. And to them, Democrat = Communist baby choppper.

The right wing are hypocritical pigs and they always will be.

5. If they were millionaires, I'd buy their premise for this nonsense.
But I'd venture to guess 99.9% of them got a tax cut under Obama.

They are serving as personal hand-puppets of the wealthy/corporations.

6. Most of them probably don't have a fucking clue what they're "protesting"
They're only showing up because some right wing talkshow host, or the Grand Wizard of their local KKK told them they had to protest "that commie socialist not born in this country ni**er muslinfascist president"

7. I'm still trying to figure out exactly what they are protesting.
I'm pretty sure it has something to do with wanting more Repukes in the house and senate. The whole thing is Astroturf.

8. I thought most repubs voted against the Wall St. bailouts and the stimulus package.
They may just think they can make partisan hay, since President Obama "owns" the stimulus package, while he has to share the "credit/blame" for the Wall St. bailouts with his predecessor.

It's a big gamble for them. If Obama's actions bring the economy back, the repubs are going to look even more out-of-touch for having opposed him at every turn. If the economy doesn't bounce back, he's most likely a one term president and I think he knows that. The only way he could get reelected with a terrible economy would be to plausibly blame the repubs for being obstructionist, so they may be shooting themselves in the foot no matter what.

10. Oh really? Where were these "tea-baggers" then when Shrubbie was
handing out billions to the banks?

I don't remember any tea-bags coming from them at that time.

Oh, that's right. It's only when a Democrat does it! My bad!

And, BTW, it's been uncovered that the orignal URL for these tea-baggers was purchased prior to the election.

This is a horse and pony show for the dead-enders and bigots to vent their rage that there is a Democratic and black President in the White House.

It's very transparent and coming to light day by day that this is a corporate-sponsored event, replete with robo-calling to boot!

13. Does it matter?
The media will cover it as they see fit.....like they always do.
...and considering the amount of publicity this "protest" is getting,
compared to others in the past,
I'm sure it will be a great big fat success.

I mean, why not? Somebody's has got to lead the people by the nostrils!
Might as well be the media.

14. Pretty much.
So I wonder if they were out there protesting Reagan's 1.5 trillion dollar stimulus in 1981?
