Question--Other than loans, purchases, and guarantees: How much have we spent on bank bailouts?
I know we have trillions in potential commitments, but setting aside guarantees, asset purchases, and loans, how much has our government, so far, actually given away to banks?

Thanks ahead of time for any helpful links.

2. Just the TARP `nee TCPP fund
Citi got 45B

JPM got 35B(?)

Wells got 25B

And many (most FDIC) smaller banks got a piece.

TCPP bought preferred stock and warrants in most of the publicly traded banks in the nation.

A few have paid it back, most can't, and hopefully by mid '10 everyone will have. With interest.

Edited because I really can spell preferred.

7. Cool
I was just wondering because some people are all, we're on the line for 10 trillion dollars, in terms of what we may have to pay on securities and such of debts that go bad, but was thinking, well if you're going to include what we may pay out, then also include what we may take in, including pay back on loans etc.

thanks
