3. Yeah . . .if Texas wants to declare its sovereignty it should be on its own. . .
. . .when it comes to services that the federal government provides.

4. If TX seceded and became an independent country, how long would
it be before the US started throwing its weight around and bullying the poor place for its oil and other resources, lol??? They'd find themselves WISHING they were still part of the US if they pissed us off and we did something like, say declare them a rogue state, or declared war against them.

HAHAHAHAHAHA. Rick, you dumbass.

15. Yeah, we could invade and take the land back, and throw all the
recalcitrants in Gitmo. And make it into a couple of new states, and retire the name "Texas" to the dustbin of history.

8. What a great fantasy!
I can see Bush and Laura prisoners in Texas... come to think about it...

I wonder if part of this has to do with trying to protect Bush from federal charges.

13. But wasn't George Jr. born in Connecticut?
We could get rid of Jeb, which would be great - but only if a Constitutional amendment were passed that rescinded the citizenship of everyone born in Texas while it was a US state.

12. Perry: good hair, no brains
This part of Resolution 50 is choice:
...that all compulsory federal legislation ...that requires states to pass legislation or lose federal funding, be prohibited or repealed.

So it's like, We have the right to ignore you, but you'd better still give us money, you mean old federal gubmint!

20. Ahh, Mexico tried that once
Didn't work out too well for them. And that was when Mexico was a lot stronger than it is now and Texas was a lot weaker.

28. Also, say "goodbye" to your chances for a national office
who wants a senator or a representative or a president that advocates withdrawal from the Union?

Imagine those campaign ads against him.

The idiots don't even think, they just get caught up in the emotion.
