We barely saw any coverage. And we are talking about hundreds of thousands of people out in the streets.

But today, the same media can't stop talking about these Astroturf Teabagging Parties.

What is the difference?

One was liberals paving the pavement to try and save lives,
and today it is conservatives out there yelling about nothing.

I hate the conservative "say they are liberal" corporate media!

They have been talking about this fakeass movement on all of the channels for the last 3 days.

2. I'm just pissed that the media is promoting this bullshit.....
now they are being called "tax protestors".....when they ain't nothing but dumbasses anad
partisan assholes.

Protesting the President who delivered the largest middle tax cut in American History,
while they were saying shit when their taxes were higher.

10. They are protesting for the sake of protesting
When you believe in nothing, that is all you have. Of course the whole thing is made up by faux, hense the term astro-turf.

I'd imagine the saturation media coverage will swell the turnout. When I lived in England, there was a TV show called Songs of Praise that was basically a televised church service, mostly watched by the elderly and housebound who couldn't get to church any other way. It came from a different church every week, and it was a running joke that churches where the choir normally outnumbered the congregation suddenly became full to bursting when the Songs of Praise cameras were there. I can see a similar thing happening at the Fox News™ Teabag Protests.

4. ON what channel?
I was out there too. I had to watch it on C-Span, cause no other national channel was covering the S.F. March.

5. It was covered. I was in D.C twice and paid attention to how
it was covered. All the cable networks covered it. This, however, they are covering more intensely. But it isn't all positive. It's not being promoted, as you claim, on CNN or MSNBC. It is, of course, being heavily promoted by Fux.

6. It was all over England. I was in London at the time and participated at the London one.
Edited on Wed Apr-15-09 07:21 AM by vaberella
It was one for days on every channel. It was like if you were not at the march 6 years ago in England you were a loser. We also saw the American version on television. So...it was well publicized from our outlook. I think my friend was in the German one cause when we met she said there was one in Germany...although I didn't see that one.

9. I'm sure in England.
I didn't see any of it here.....perhaps because I was too busy being mad. If I recall, I could barely watch the Television, I was so pissed at how we were being dragged into war by that asshole Bush. And What I remember is that the Media loves his 3 week old dirty drawers!

8. When we protested the war there were helicopters
flying over us, police on horseback behind us and police on the street. There was more surveillance than protesters. Later there were infiltrators looking for a connection with the Quakers. This in a small town in Florida. Fascism was in full swing.

11. We're considered "fringe"; they're considered
"mainstream" by the "liberal" conservative media. Doesn't matter in this bizzaro world that we're the ones arguing for rational, common-sense (not to speak of ethical and humane) policies. We stand in the way of the corporatocracy and military-industrial complex; they are there for (and are supported by) the corporate elite. I think this pretty well sums it up.

12. Our local paper did a story on the Tea Party event taking place today
in our small town. They never wrote up anything about a liberal gathering. Oh, and I just read in our town annual report that there are 75 sex offenders living here. WTF?

14. That's because the teabaggers are marching for the corporatists...
and we weren't. Of course the rich people who own the media are going to cover this. The teabaggers are a bunch of corporate tools/fools.

17. At least the media is reporting that crowds are light for this insane event.
And yes, it is beyond disgusting that liberal events to try to save lives don't get coverage.
