When it comes to the current administration, people around here are always explaining what everyone who doesn't agree with them thinks.

What have you been told you thought about something that you don't actually think?

5. Today, I was told, again, that because I disagree with someone's 100% negativity about "government",

I think that person I disagree with is a bad person and that my criticisms of what has happened to this country in the last 8 years are criticisms of him/her and, when I tried to explain some of it better, that was regarded as an attack upon him/her. I was able to make the observation that this person assumes s/he knows that I am thinking, but s/he doesn't, and s/he doesn't ask, and s/he is in fact making a mistake about me, and that I have a right to try to correct his/her mistake in thinking that I am attacking him/her, when in fact I was just trying to share some information with him/her, and I was expecting him/her to share something from his/her point of view in return. And this isn't about politics. It's about what is happening to people.

After that, I had to give up.
