Saw Bill Maher last night in Kansas City and he was on fire!

It was great to see him live. And no HBO show last night because he was in KC!!

The crowd loved him.

Lots of new material and lots of slams about the GOP and the hatred of Obama.

And Fred Phillips and his nuts were protesting at the theater before the show. Including young kids holding some of the "God Hates Fags" signs. How sad!

He touched on religion the last 5 minutes and it was great. I bet 1/2 the theater were atheists based on the clapping.

He also said a great line "Not all Republican Supporters are racists, but I most racists are Republicans"

How true is that!!

If he is in your town you need to go see him!

1. I've been hearing radio ads for tickets for some debate series in NYC

Maher and Coulter were on the long list, not sure when they are to be on it, or whether against each other, and now the ads are talking about Karl the Architect Rove vs. James the Ragin' Cajun Carville, moderated by Charlie Rose. That could be sumthin'

I was there as well, and Bill was brilliant, as expected. I hope I don't seem rude, but I'm writing to correct something you wrote. The evil, deluded leader of the wingnuts that were protesting is Fred Phelps, not Fred Phillips. As a Kansas Democrat, I'm almost shocked you don't know that, and I felt it was important to mention (sorry). Fred and his inbred family make up the Westboro Baptist Church in the Topeka area.

They didn't even bother staying until after the show to heckle us all on the way out. They're even lazy in their activism, which is truly pathetic. They recently drove into Kansas City to protest outside of Shawnee Mission West High School because they elected an openly gay Homecoming king. They were there for a whole, whopping fifteen minutes or so. What's the point???

Their brainwashing of the children is truly sad. It's child abuse, period.
