The events that led to the shooting deaths of two Okaloosa County sheriff's deputies Saturday began in a small top-floor apartment in Fort Walton Beach - with an argument over a tube of Clearasil.

On Sunday, lawmen still were investigating why Joshua Cartwright, a 28-year-old U.S. Army Reserve soldier with a history of violence, killed Okaloosa County sheriff's deputies Burt Lopez and Warren "Skip" York at a gun range in Crestview.

A few minutes after he killed the deputies, Cartwright was himself killed in a shootout with lawmen in DeFuniak Springs.

"None of it's logical, none of it makes sense," said interim Sheriff Ed Spooner on Sunday. "He'd obviously just got something else in his mind."

It's simple, really. If you are a Republican, then you are, almost by definition, stupid.

And you are, almost by definition, racist.

And you are, almost by definition, intolerant.

So how can ANYBODY be surprised when someone of his political persuasion ends up gravitating toward violence, or hatred of our current Commander in Chief?

This event was not an anomaly. It is going to happen again, and again, and again -- and keep on happening until someone out there (someone way smarter than me!!!) can figure out a way to purge our society of this disease... for that is what conservatism is. A disease.

When I have a "new" used car... one of the best ways to find out what's about to break is to just take it on a long drive and break shit.

Likewise, having Obama as President is like taking a long drive and seeing what racist shit breaks... and then trying to fix it.
