Boy, are they running scared....

the rats are deserting the sinking ship.

Specter is no different than lieberliar, they're just trying to hold on to the best gig they'll ever have, or will ever get.

I'd take Lincoln Chaffee over either one of these two assholes any day of the week.

Check in Pennsylvania and Connecticut. Surely to gods we have some good candidates to run in these two elections against specter in 2010 and lieberliar in 2012.

Tell me we have decent dems to run against these sycophant, opportunists in the next two election cycles.

9. Sestak ain't running - he's merely the threat to keep Specter honest
And Sestak doens't have the fundraising capcities that Specter or someone like Allyson Schwartz would have.

But Sestak is a great guy, I've worked and donated to 2 of his campaigns. Plenty of deals were made and I'm sure some were made to Sestak. Perhaps Joe has been promised Arlen's seat incase Arlen passes away before the 2010 term ends.

Sestak refuses to rule out Senate run against Specter
@ 2:10 pm by Jeremy P. Jacobs

Congressman Joe Sestak (D-Pa.) on Wednesday refused to rule out a run for the Senate in 2010 despite Sen. Arlen Specter's (Pa.) decision to switch parties and become a Democrat.

"I am going to have to wait," Sestak, who has been mulling a run for the Senate, just said on MSNBC.

MSNBC reported earlier that Democrats promised Specter they would support him in his reelection bid against former Congressman Pat Toomey. Sestak is the first of other potential Democratic contenders to comment on Specter's decision.

Sestak said he is waiting "to see what is running for," implying that he wants to see what Specter will proactively stand for in his campaign instead of just opposing Republican policies.

"If the alternative is Toomey, that's one thing," Sestak said, appearing to indicate that he would support Specter if he is the Democratic nominee.

2. Maine has to get rid of Snowe and Collins if they won't switch.
I wish they were both older so they could just retire. Unfortunately, they're relatively young.

7. I'll take snowe and collins over lieberliar and specter any day of the week.....
They're not perfect, but they're a hell of a lot better than lieberman and specter in any scenario.

4. Spector is more of a liberal than Evan Bayh. Let's get rid of Bayh first.
Edited on Tue Apr-28-09 02:18 PM by ClarkUSA
At least Spector voted for the stimulus plan and helped pass it while Bayh refused to support it. Bayh is now threatening to obstruct Pres. Obama's budget plan. :eyes:

Lieberman will be gone by January 2011. Lamont has a huge lead over him in most polls.

14. I agree with this. Bayh has done more harm to our party than Specter can.

11. Yes, it was very troubling at the time, but I think....
the tides have turned now. I think lieberliar is sunk. At least I hope he is next go around.

We can only hope.

12. Lieberman has floated the trial balloon that he might run as a Dem in 2012.
http://www.salon.com/politics/war_room/2009/03/13/lieberman/

IMO it's to hook back into the party machine and prevent the Dems from running an actual Democrat against him.

Dems should reject that plan from the get-go. Lieberman is a horse's ass.

15. And you would have thought that Connecticut of all states...
Edited on Tue Apr-28-09 03:29 PM by nomaco-10
would have been on to that bullshit.

It's a different game now and lieberman and specter know that they are in trouble.

They both need to be finished off once and for all, specter in 2010 and lieberliar in 2012.

I think we're headed in that direction. Lieberman should have been dealt with in january. He should have been cut off at the knees come the first meet up of the senate in jan 2009.

Payback will be sweet revenge against that creepy, in the pocket of the AIPAC stooge, play both sides of the aisle jerk. His payback can't come soon enough.

It's gonna be sweet.
