Limbaugh's unsurprising response to Specter's change of party:
"He should take John and Meghan McCain with him!" Rick Sanchez just reported that. Wow-Limbaugh had to throw Meghan McCain into it?! I'm so glad that Rush is truly the face of the Repub. party!

3. Exactly. And when Tucker Carlson was asked yesterday to comment on Rush's CRAZY
assertion that everywhere Obama goes disaster happens, like an earthquake in Mexico (I think), the swine flu, etc., he refused to condemn it saying Rush is doing his thing (paraphrased).

6. Thanks for the update on Limbaugh.
I want to hear Hannity's take as well - hate radio has done so much to help our side since they officially took over the party during the election. IMO Steele's angry comments won't help matters either. There were a lot of ways for both Steele and hate radio to handle this but they all seem determined to travel the road that's going to do the least good for their party.

It's quite bizarre.

8. I bet Rush feels the same way about Steele!
You know the cons. hate HIM, too. And HIS comment today made no sense. I love the way their party is going.

9. inSanity started to bail out of the repub Party last year labeling himself
a conservative rather than a repub.

I would bet he will use this move by Specter to offer justification for his disassociation.

11. I remember rumors of McCain possibly switching ca. 2003-2004
but he eventually quashed those rumors and (literally)*embraced* Bush. I used to think he was sort of o.k. back in 2000 and thought that it was unfair how Rove did a hatchet job on him but ever since 2004 and ESPECIALLY 2008 he's been nothing if not a big jerk. His attitude towards Obama since the election has done NOTHING to improve my opinion of him and in fact has dragged it down lower. I doubt he'd switch but I'm not sure I'd want him as a Dem either. He can't seem to make up his mind up on.......well......anything. Has he even voted with us on anything of substance for awhile?

Now, we could sure use somebody like his daughter, however. I think she may be on the edge with the GOP anyway and could see her crossing the aisle at some point in the future.

The GOP "moderates" may as well become Democrats or at least Independents at this point because most of their party is so insane that they really have no place in it to be more independent. At least in our party, as much as it sometimes frustrates all of us at one time or another, we don't expect our members to be lemmings like the Republican Party does.
