1. A summary.
1. Social Security is not in "crisis", but needs adjustments
2. Best way to insure SS viability in the future is to raise the CAP of SS contributions from payroll taxes. This would have those with higher salaries paying more to the SS fund.
3. Solutions he strongly ruled out: Raising retirement age, reducing benefits, increasing GENERAL payroll taxes

2. Thanks so much. Makes sense to me.
In fact I am really happy with his take on it. I was having a repairman in and only heard the words Social Security but couldn't hear anything else. I'd like it to still be around when I'm eligible.
