23. Michelle is 5'11"
so she'd tower seven inches over the average gal of 5'4" :o

4. That is the charm of our Michelle.
She can dress to the nines, or dress as I do, and she still looks fabulous!

6. This...
Wasn't an 'outfit' day, but an 'I'm wearing clothes b/c I have to' day. She looked fine - comfortable, accessible, clean, nice colors, youthful, etc.

13. Good grief people...

I don't have a problem with the fact that she's casual and "normal". I just don't like the white and yellow cardigan with purple socks and shoes. I'm a very casual person and I'm definitely far from being a fashionista but I just don't like that color combination.

On edit: I'm sorry...I only saw the top picture at first. The gray, yellow and white sweater with the gray and purple shoes. Still doesn't quite work for me but whatever.

8. Love the shoes!
The argyle sweater, on the other hand... Meh. It's fine. I am just not a fan of argyle.

Michelle.......not so much. The whole outfit is a mess and the sweater needs ironing.

16. That's like a crinkled silk! It is supposed to look like that.
It's just something fresh, new and young.

Here it is seen in its same "unironed" state on a model at the J. Crew website.
On sale for $99.00

18. She is not a model, but I like it nevertheless......
Also Jill Biden is a bit older than Michelle Obama, and although I like Jill Biden's outfit on her, I wouldn't wear it, because it is a bit older than I would prefer....kind of half Business office at the top, and casual down dressing on the bottom. I think these two ladies both have style, different as it might be.

20. Jill looks crisp, elegant and fitting of a VP's wife.
A Cape Codish - Palm Beach look. Michelle's outfit is way too casual and ill fitting. I think that she can look great, but to me this outfit does nothing for her.

Regardless, they were there for a worthy cause and that's far more important than what they were wearing.

not so much on a 45 year old First Lady.
