Republican National Chairman accuses president of appeasement around the world.
But it's not who you think and that comment isn't toward Pres. Obama.

No, rather it was said by Republican National Chairman William E. Miller in 1961 and he was accusing President Kennedy of appeasing the Soviets.

This is the question posed to Pres. Kennedy in an August 1961 http://www.jfklibrary.org/Historical+Resources/Archives/Reference+Desk/Press+Conferences/0003POF05Pressconference16_08301961.htm">news conference:

...At the same time, the Republican National Chairman has said that your Administration's attitude in general is one of appeasement toward Communism throughout the world. Do you have any comment on this criticism by top spokesmen of the opposition party?

So their play book hasn't changed in 50 years.

Predictable.

4. Using Goebbel.s method, repeat a lie over and over and the populace
will eventually believe it; the GOP is now attempting to prevent
Obama Adm. from getting an image --strong in Foreign Affairs and
Defense.

By repeating over and over the Republicans are strong on defense
they have simultaneously created an illusion of their being strong
on defense and the Democrats are weak on defense. They have used
this successfully in elections. I give you GWB.

Part of their strategy for their comeback, they believe they must
retain their Image of Strong on Defense. Therefore, Obama cannot
be permitted to come across as strong on defense.

It works--Repeat a big lie often enough and the people will believe
it.

The problem has always been the Dems on the Hill tend to reinforce
the GOP line by their silence.

5. The good news is that the Cowboy Foreign Policy Bush employed soured Americans.
And they are looking for a more toned down world view. That could provide some real international progress that ultimately squashes the bullshit lie spread by Republicans now for over a half-century.
