Lieberman up to no good vis a vis those torture photos.
On MSNBC now saying that he and Graham are going to add an amendment tomorrow to make it illegal to release those photos. I really loathe this cretin.

He is trying to cover for his neocon buddies.

2. I doubt that type of law could really stay as written. It may not be constitutional.

4. But we need a court that will say it's unconstitutional
until that happens any law Congress passes stands.

12. A court could grant an injunction so that this can't be enforced until it is ruled on
And such a law would be unconstitutional. The President has the power to classify and de-classify information. It is derived from his power as commander-in-chief.

5. Man! There must be some really vile photos there!
For them to write legislation to make it illegal to release them? There must be real hell to pay if they do!!!

10. The problem is...
That most people, and Obama, are saying "at this time". That leaves it open to releasing them in the future. Lieberman wants to make it illegal to ever release the photos.

11. Those are weasel words. If today's excuse is that it will endanger the
troops - when exactly will our troops be out of harm's way?
