*Good Order and Discipline* is THE REASON that the Photos must be released ASAP.
the perpetrators are still in THE HIGHEST COMMAND POSITIONS, i.e., both Military and Civilian.

When you are talking about the military individual perpetrators, the actions of "a few" also include RESPONSIBLE leaders from sergeant up to the highest civilian leadership at the pentagon.

DO you honestly believe that TORTURE has ceased JUST BECAUSE Obama said it must beginning with his Presidency? Really? The people who carried out these techniques have not even had to scatter into the woodwork. THEY ARE STILL IN CHARGE.

Why is Gates still Sec Def? He's WAS part of Iran-Contra. Remember Iran Contra?

http://www.fas.org/irp/offdocs/walsh/chap_16.htm

What about our Golden Boy, General "Peaches" Petraeus? Do YOU realize that he was HIP DEEP in financial (War Profiteering) corruption investigations that were later swept under the rug upon the "alleged suicide" of a West Point Colonel who MAY have been prepared to blow the whistle on Petraeus's covert actions?

Bryce concluded: "In September 2005, the Army's inspector general concluded an investigation into allegations raised in the anonymous letter to Westhusing shortly before his death. It found no basis for any of the issues raised. Although the report is redacted in places, it is clear that the investigation was aimed at determining whether Fil or Petraeus had ignored the corruption and human rights abuses allegedly occurring within the training program for Iraqi security personnel." Since then, the corruption and failed training angles have drawn wide attention although the Petraeus's role, good or bad, has not.

The writer returned to the case this past February with another Texas Observer article. I've run out of space here so I will merely quote its opening and link to it:

Since last March, when I wrote a story about the apparent suicide of Col. Ted Westhusing in Iraq, I had believed there was nothing else to write about his tragic death. But in December, I talked to a source in the Department of Defense who met Westhusing in Iraq about three months before his death. The source, who asked not to be identified for fear of reprisals, was investigating claims of wrongdoing against military contractors working in Iraq. After a short introduction, I asked him what he thought had happened to Westhusing. 'I think he was killed. I honestly do. I think he was murdered,' the source told me. 'Maybe DOD didn't have enough evidence to call it murder, so they called it suicide.'"

And then there's our new HERO, General McCrystal and his involvement in the Pat Tillman FANTASY and Cover-up.

Tillman's parents want general's record reviewed

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090513/ap_on_go_ot/us_afghanistan_general_3
In a brief interview with The Associated Press, Pat Tillman Sr. accused Lt. Gen. Stanley McChrystal of covering up the circumstances of the 2004 slaying. "I do believe that guy participated in a falsified homicide investigation," Pat Tillman Sr. said.

Separately, Mary Tillman called it "imperative" that McChrystal's record be carefully considered before he is confirmed.
Pentagon spokesman Geoff Morrell said Defense Secretary Robert Gates has complete confidence in McChrystal, whom he hopes can be confirmed by the Senate before month's end.

"We feel terrible for what the Tillman family went through, but this matter has been investigated thoroughly by the Pentagon, by the Congress, by outside experts, and all of them have come to the same conclusion: that there was no wrongdoing by Gen. McChrystal," Morrell said.

DO WE SEE A PATTERN HERE?!?

The same EVIL LEADERS are still CONTROLLING our military in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Given the above evidence: Do you HONESTLY believe that there will be any JUSTICE or even a ceasing of PRISONER ABUSE (it will go covert) if Obama does NOT release these damn Photos and we don't INVESTIGATE and PROSECUTE the appropriate Military Leaders under the UCMJ.

Obama is enabling THE TORTURERS THEMSELVES (leadership involved in actions and subsequent cover-up). These Generals and Civilian Leader (Gates) are still RUNNING these occupations. :grr:

This was NOT Chess by Obama, this is PROOF that "The Pentagon runs Barter town." :nuke:

The American Populace will get exactly what they deserve if they don't DEMAND justice for the CRIMINALS within The Defense Department in addition to the former Executive Branch..

Little do the Obama-adorers realize that "this hard edged" policy will come back to The Average American Citizen.

Yes, FACISM with a happy face. If we don't ...

LOOKIE HERE ... THOSE WHO TRUST IN ONE POLITICIAN ----> THIS IS OUR NATION'S FUTURE.

8. Blah blah blah. It's been investigated, and it's not going to be reinvestigated.
Yes, the military brass passed the blame down to the lower levels, that's what they always do in the military and in corporate crimes. Some times murders go free because they lie and no one can prove they're lying. Smetimes criminals plea themselves down to no punishment. This is nothing new. but you just can't keep reinvestigating the same crime until you get the result you want.

Neither Congress, DOJ or anyone else is going to reinvestigate something that's already been investigated and prosecuted.

"horror show" of Propaganda and Cover-up. Now this asshole is going to run the Afghani operations ... many of them dicey and covert. :puke:

It matters that JUSTICE is served.

11. WTF does that have to do with Abu photos?
Edited on Thu May-14-09 08:21 PM by Phx_Dem
I am extremely pissed off that Rove and Cheney weren't held accountable for outing Valerie Plame, but for me to suggest that we REINVESTIGATE it in an attempt to try to get them the second time around is just stupid and would serve no purpose since it absolutely, positively isn't going to happen.

Rove and Cheney did not get away with their crime because of a shoddy investigation, they got away with it because the players lied and obstructed the investigation -- just like the military brass did with Abu investigation. That happens all the time. It SUCKS and it pissed me off too, but you can't reinvestigate crimes over and over again until you get the result you want. It just isn't going to happen, so why not focus our justifiable anger toward the torture scandal that is currently unfolding? THAT is what needs to be investigated. And Dick Cheney, above all else, needs to be prosecuted for torture.

12. THE TRUTH did not come out from the initial investigations and these Generals still run the
two occupations.

This is NOT over. There are still corrupt actions ongoing and it is VILE.

Gates and his corrupt Generals need to be FIRED after a full Investigation ... at a minimum.

Clean out the corrupt BRASS in the Pentagon lest these horrors continue and later, when a GOP is President, they may filter down to US American Citizens.

It's chilling because these atrocities will extend to our law enforcement unless we DEMAND full investigation of the military NOW.

cases sodomized. What new information do you have to offer that the rest of us don't kow about?
