Many times, It is NOT what a person says..but HOW they say it...DU flareups

At the risk of being PC to the extreme.. Let me try pouring some oil on turbulent waters here in the DU.

How we frame a post, thread, agreement, disagreement is going to predict the response.

Example:

Two people want to disagree with something I have posted, they write the identical post.. word for word.

One prefixes it with.. Hey Bitch..

The other prefixes it with ..Hey Girl..

Both are referencing I am female.. but one is going to get a thoughtful response even if I disagree.. and the other has just took on an all out war with me.

Likewise it can be applied to people we support.

This applies to all sides of any debate..

But these days snark and sarcasm is yielding to outright rudeness.
