Gibbs dodges Pelosi question

The White House wants nothing to do with this Nancy Pelosi fight with the CIA.

Not long after CIA Director Leon Panetta put out a statement sticking by his agency, White House press secretary Robert Gibbs dodged a question about whether Pelosi was right in questioning the CIA.

"I think you've heard the president say this a number of times: the best thing we can do is to look forward," Gibbs said. "I appreciate the invitation to get involved in here, but I'm not gonna RSVP,"

1. I am not buying the media framing.
By making it simple, they lose the context.

I don't see it as Pelosi versus the CIA.

I see it as Speaker of the House Pelosi pointing out, some people in the CIA, under Bush/Cheney, did not accurately brief congress, knowing they were misleading them. And pointing out the need to review issues of checks and balances.

2. That would have been a good statement from Gibbs.

3. If I were Gibbs I would not want to be involved in this mess either
As far as I can tell the whole thing is just more Republican idiocy designed to protect Bush/Cheney.

The whole "What DId Pelosi Know" controvery is going to collapse under its own weight pretty soon.

I mean c'mon - if Fox News thinks torture is so great, why are the concerned about "What Did Pelosi Know". Illogical.
