Its so dangerous for so much hope to be on the shoulders of one Man or Woman
but in this case its one man and he is Barack Obama. I actually fear him failing and so many hopes and dreams being gone forever. This may be the most crucial presidency in quite some time.

2. He's a President
I like him.

Turning this nation around is going to take more than 8 years. Its going to take a change of attitude from the American People.

FDR didn't get us out of the depression or win WWII. The American people did that.

Barack Obama is simply the rudder. He sets the direction. Its up to us to power it.

You you ever stop and listen to yourself?

Our hope should never be on "one man or woman." Our hope should be on our own public mobilization and advocacy of social and economic justice.

Obama is not going to "fix" or "change" things - WE ARE.

We are the change we've been waiting for, remember? How quickly everyone just went home after the election and started trusting in the almighty Obama to make everything better. "I don't want to think about the issues, that's why I voted for Obama, so I could just "trust" and "believe" or "have faith" that he would go fix everything while I return to my life."

Barack Obama could be one of the most noble and courageous leaders the country has ever seen and success for our country and the implementation of a positive socially and economically just vision would STILL REST SQUARELY ON US AND OUR PRESSURE, ADVOCACY, AND ORGANIZATION in the name of the values and principles we believe to be best for the people. Even great men face overwhelming obstacles in Washington. It's up to US to change things. Our hopes are on the shoulders of US, not one man or woman.

4. I guess he should just shut up then, since he may fail.
Imagine what this world would be like if people who have made a difference followed that creed.

5. Obama does not own your hope
And he did not create it, and he did not give it. He only acknowledged what is already there within each one of us. You own your own hope. What you do with it is not up to Obama--it is up to YOU.

Now that you know you OWN your hope, your dreams, your aspirations--Obama cannot fail - unless you allow your hope to fail.

9. This man is getting bigger every day.
His shoulders are not getting worn down by the enormous load. He is thriving under it. His presidency is just starting to gain momentum.

President Obama has the capability to become the Franklin Roosevelt of this generation.

And that is why they fear him.

11. The only thing "dangerous" is that you are way too emotionally invested in one man. nt

12. He is the BEGINNING. Not the be all and END all. It will be
up to the millennial generation to pick up where he leaves off.
