Fiorina Moves Closer to Calif. Senate Bid
Republican Carly Fiorina, former Hewlett-Packard CEO, announced Tuesday she has registered "Carly for California" with the IRS to begin the formal process of exploring a 2010 bid to challenge Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer of Calfornia.

"I have received a great deal of enouragement to make a run for the Senate in 2010 from people across the political spectrum... today's filing with the IRS is a logical next step in the process of evaluating running for this office," Fiorina said in a statement.

The registration would allow Fiorina to form a 527 group to begin fundraising.

Republican state Assemblyman Chuck DeVore is already campaigning for the Senate seat, but has failed to gain significant traction. National Republicans and others have hailed Fiorina as a top-flight candidate they hope to officially recruit. Her business background, personal wealth and outsider political status are among the reasons why some supporters are prompting her to run.

But Boxer has the advantage of incumbency in a Democratic-leaning state.

2. The best anti-Fiorina
ads would show the bottom line of HP before and after she was shit-canned. Add to that images of sub-par POS desktops during her tenure that could be counted on to fry within 6 months.

I know of nobody better able to drive a respected company into the ground faster.

4. Given California has been driven into the dumper by Arnold
et al, I guess she won't have much work to do to finish it off...

Surely Californians would not vote for her? WOuld they?
