Not one network is covering this.BUT when Rev.Wright makes a statement that was taken out of content in a 30 second video the media goes crazy and asked every African American on TV was asked if they denounce him.Wheres the media asking the politicians on the right if they agree with Joe The Plummer on taking Nancy Pelosi out and beating the crap out of her

1. I agree with the media on this - just ignore this clown
don't give him the microphone. It just fires up the whackos.

10. asking the RW if they agree is giving him the mic
and giving the RW more air-time to spout their drivel supporting the 1st amendment rights for everyone.

He should be completely ignored.

4. Are you surprised?
Interesting that every other word that dribbled from his mouth was thrown in the faces of their viewers, but Sammy Joe says he wants to kick the Speaker of the House's ass and what do we hear from the corporate nooze readers: crickets.

Our corporate media whores suck. Most of them have lost me as a viewer.

5. The media should ignore him
Who cares what Joe the plumber thinks. Granted I don't listen to what he has to say, but I'm sure he doesn't have much to say based on the few comments that get aired. Making a statement like taking someone out by the woodshed is just parroting platitudes and cliches. Why would anyone even ask this idiot about anything. He's never given an intelligent or thoughtful answer to anything.

His answer shows he thinks violence is a solution to everything, especially to uppity women or someone weaker. What a surprise.

7. Maybe the media should ignore him but the SS should NOT
He and every other racist, misogynist RW hate monger should be locked up away from society. There is no place for people like this in our country.

8. So, you know the SS is ignoring him? I don't.
Also, I would hate to see the time when a government gets to decide which people should be locked up away from society based upon speech because we, as Democrats, could one day find ourselves on the wrong end of that equation.

11. I didn't say the SS is ignoring him, only that it should NOT
I don't know whether it is or not but believe that it should definitely be focusing on him now.

As to your other point, threatening a public official, President to police officer and everything in between, has never been protected speech. The authorities could easily lock this guy up and still be in compliance with constitutionally protected speech.

12. The question is not one of free speech, but rather
one of a possible threat to an elected official. I don't know if the SS is the agency to investigate or not, but I would hope that someone is at least reviewing the tapes of what was said to make a determination.

There is free speech,

There is threatening speech,

and there is prudent action on the part of those charged with protecting those elected officials.

17. My guess is that if they nailed everyone with a big mouth who threatened to punch out a politician,
there would be a large prison full of them. I'm not worried about Joe the Plumber, he's hardly a credible threat. I'm worried about the ones that are unknown, but either way I think the Secret Service has it in hand. Let the Republicans regain power again and we might find that threatening speech may get redefined however they like it.

14. Obviously some people didn't watch Olbermann last night.
And it's PLUMBER, not PLUMMER. For heaven's sake, let's leave the bad spelling to the Freepers.

16. He's mad at Pelosi because she supposidly lied.
Didn't Sam begin his public life with a lie himself? That he was a self-employed plumber, had his own business & made more than $250k per year?
