Bush Flip-Flops on funding bills and shafts Americans

For the Iraq $87 billion bill, Bush threatened to VETO the bill if it wasn't paid for via deficit spending.

John Thune on this morning's Meet The Press said that Bush would not provide drought relief to South Dakota unless the funding was "paid for".


Bush has no problem providing for the welfare state of Iraq but ignores the needs of Americans here at home!

And yes, he is ignoring the needs of millions of Americans. I can't recall right now, though--is South Dakota a red or blue state? And how many electoral votes does it have? Of course, Iraq doesn't qualify on either count...but it does have all that oil...

Just one of the myriad of dilemmas I struggle with daily about Bush and his twisted way of doing things.
