Do we have any evidence that Nader voters would vote for Kerry?
If Nader was not on their state ballot? How do we know that these people would not stay home? Have you ever met anyone who said to you said, "I would vote for Kerry if Nader were not on the ticket?" I think these people are misguided idealogues, especially in light of the fact that Nader is getting his support for Republican operatives this year, which makes him look like an opportunist fuck with no conscience. I'm saying this because I don't think we should eat our hearts out because Nader got on some of the ballots. I don't think there is any hope of getting these people to vote for Kerry.

1. Let's put your question another way
If Kerry weren't on the ballot, would you vote for Liebermann?

I know I would.

Even though I don't like Liebermann.

I would vote for George1 over George2 if that were the choices on the ballot.

2. You can make the argument that Nader
will draw the protest Republican vote. Real conservatives who cannot vote * in good concience, but cannot bring themselves to vote Dem.

That way they can vote against * without 'voting for a librul.'
I think in Fla, Nader will cost Bush more votes than Kerry.

4. you could make that argument but it doesn't make any sense
Nader is not going to pull more votes from bush. That is ridiculous. They are more likely to vote for one of the other novelty candidates.

3. common sense
lots of young people will go to the polls and vote for him because they really believe against all evidence that he can win. If he is not on the ballot most will vote for Kerry. The polls prove it and so do the 2000 exit polls.

6. there is a percentage who
will vote for Kerry, but there are others who are NOT Democrats (this is most of them) and they will not vote for Kerry. They will either not show up--or maybe do another protest vote (a different 3rd party candidate--like the actualy green guy). That kind of thing. A few will even go Bush believe it or not.
