I've been researching posts from the infamous freeper lawyer 'Buckhead,' (AKA Harry W. MacDougald) and found this post, dated 7/20/2004:

This comment, in the context of Ambassador Joe Wilson speaking out against the blatant smear campaign being waged against him, shows that MacDougald harbored a deep desire to participate in some sort of smear. I suspect he was already a Rove operative at this point.

as of right now 60 Minutes and Dan rather are digging into every possible thing they can find on Rove, his group and repukes like this Buckhead character.
