Gibbs On Filibuster Possibility...

Gibbs On Filibuster Possibility: Dems And GOP Alike 'Will Be Held Accountable By Their Constituents'

On Air Force One, White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs wasn't sweating the news that Democrats and Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT) may not be coming through on the Senate health care bill.

Gibbs said he hadn't seen the reports about Lieberman saying he'd support a filibuster, but added, "I think Democrats and Republicans alike will be held accountable by their constituents who want to see health care reform enacted this year."

"The president is working to ensure we get this through," Gibbs said. "I think we've been working through these issues for many months. We'll continue to do so. I think president has been pretty involved in this."

Reporters asked about Sen. Olympia Snowe (R-ME), who opposes the public option in any form. Gibbs said that was a better question for her and added he didn't know what the vote count stands at in the senate.

3. exactly. Sekoff from Huff Post was on Shultz's show again saying that Obama wanted a trigger
These people are relentless. They want controversy no matter what! Even when "I support a public option" and congrats to Reid about his efforts come directly from his mouth, they still chose to distort!!! Where do you go for FACTS? I chose Obama himself.

7. Don't you know we're all just supposed to sit silent and brush off anything that might
be against our interests?? ;)

According to at least one poster, we're better off silencing our outrage than expressing it in an attempt to change the way things unfold. Fortunately many disagree.
