While Allawi is making his B/C campaign appearance in Congress (complete with script, "The world is better off without Saddam Hussein") I'm thinking about whether Moran America remembers Chalabi, or thinks they're the same people.
Do they remember the (late) "flip-flop" on Chalabi?
Do they remember we're in Fallujah, we're withdrawing from Fallujah, we're back in Fallujah? How about Najaf, do they remember that?
Do they remember "we won't negotiate" and then "we've negotiated with Al Sadr" and then "we won't negotiate?"
No, they think Kerry is a "flip-flopper" and parrot that propaganda as if they'd thought of it all by themselves.
The RNC is consistent in two things: first, they paint their opponents with the weaknesses of their own candidate, time after time, over and over. Second, they use that lie to create false choices like "win the war with unwavering strength, OR appease and negotiate with terrorists."
Back to Allawi -- who wrote his speech? Cuz it sounds straight out of BushCo.
