Shrub is part of the problem, not part of the solution
i'm going to be hitting my repug co-workers with this line everyday as to why iraq is a failure and why shrub can't fix it!

...The paper said that Mr. Bush's Democratic challenger, Senator John Kerry of Massachusetts, "after being evasive, long-winded and sometimes contradictory," was beginning to speak more realistically than Mr. Bush about deterioration in Iraq. And, the newspaper asserted, that Mr. Bush's "disengagement from the reality of a sinking Iraq is alarming."

President Bush, the paper said, is "part of the problem rather than the solution" when it comes to working with allies. In his speech to the United Nations, the paper said, Mr. Bush "showed that slightly autistic self-satisfaction remains the dominant tendency of American power."

1. great quote
"showed that slightly autistic self-satisfaction remains the dominant tendency of American power."

although i don't think that its fair to associate Bush with "American Power", that is "our" power and he is not "us". "We" believe, rightly, that diplomacy is our greatest power. Chimp does not, he believes "American power" is exclusively our military resource - which he diminishes on a second-by-second, million-dollar by million-dollar basis.

2. That's right...our power is our moral authority,
which is what real leadership is.

3. Bush isn't part of the problem,
he IS the problem. Get this guy out, and all of a sudden things will start looking brighter for the US, for Iraq, for the world.
