An idea for a MoveOn.org ad
Watching the pollyanna-ish Bush/Allawi news conference today gave me an idea for a MoveOn.org (or similar organization) ad. I think it would be appropriate for a Kerry campaign ad, but for some other organization I think it'd be very hard hitting.
========================================

The ad starts out with a graphic and voiceover: "This is the Bush stategy for Iraq"

Then start playing Monty Python's/Eric Idle's "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life"

The first few lines of the song show pictures of the Bush/Allawi news conference. Then when the song gets going start showing pictures of explosions in Iraq, and car bombs burning, troops in a firefight, etc.

Then end it with a graphic and voiceover: "We deserve a leader who will level with us".
====================================

I hope I described it well enough. I don't have the skills in Mac Flash (or the software) to do it myself. However, if any of you do and want to give it a shot, that would be great.

Here's the lyrics to the song. I really think they fit:

1. It would be more appropriate in the UK
where it would be recognized.

2. Monty Python's song?
I think plenty here in America would recognize it. And even those that didn't the words of the song say it all. What's more is it just may be "tasteless" enough to get major play on the 24-hour news networks.

Maybe just a web ad that we hope gets picked up by the news.
