It was the first time he had visited New York since he had been elected President of the Czech Republic. Well anyway, he specifically asked to visit CBGBs. It seems he had gone there a lot in the 70s when he was living in NYC. So President Clinton went to CBGBs with Vaclav Havel and they had a couple of beers and listened to some loud rock and roll. I want a President who will go to CBGBs for a beer with a poet/playwright who's been elected president of a former Warsaw pact country. Kerry could definitely do that. Bush is a motherfucker!
