foxnews reporter goes way off message

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,134715,00.html

Reporting from Baghdad, FOX News' John Cookson was staying at the Sheraton crew, was there when the mortars struck the building.

"It is a horrible, horrible climate to live in, a climate of fear, not knowing when death is going to come, not knowing when the next mortar is going to come," Cookson said.

Wait a second, I thought its all roses and beautiful sunrises in Iraq. I bet Cookson gets a call from the bosses at FoxNews about this...

4. That's how we felt during Tet in 1968.
Lots of folks who felt safe and secure in Saigon suddenly got the message that this is a fucking war! I remember being in shock when I saw the Marines fighting on the roof of the U.S. Embassy.

12. I talked to a woman who was at the embassy
she was in the foreign service and said she spent the time waiting for her turn to take the roof exit by shredding papers.

I asked -- top secret sort of documents?

No she said -- she just had to keep busy and shredding papers made the time pass.

The video of people climbing into the copters -- and then the 'copters being pushed overboard is some of the most dramatic I've seen.

This whole Iraq war mess is the Vietnam war on the drug speed -- or on fast forward.

I'm a military brat who was opposed to the war -- and then a college student when the Kent State students were murdered by OUR government. I was on the west coast when the news of the Kent State murders was reported.

As Mike Malloy says -- "Have I mentioned how much I hate these people?"
