3. No
But it is very likely to pass given that the Senate is overwhelmingly Democratic. I would imagine that since 99.9% of the House Dems voted for it, then the Senate Dems would as well.

I'm thrilled!

4. I hope it passes
I emailed my state senator on the disclosure filibuster. Maybe I should hit him again on this. Couldn't hurt, I guess.

6. The GOP
doesn't like the idea of Dems being able to cut into the red majority in this state.

I'm thrilled. Right now I am deciding on who to support!

9. Best thing
My favorite part of this story is that it is much cooler in February!! As far as Alabama mattering, we've not got too many electoral votes, and with a 60-40 split, and Diebold taking over our voter registration process, I doubt it'll make things much better for the general election. Perhaps it'll be better for the primary, though we always seem to pick someone just because he's from the South, rather than for his policies. God I hate regionalism. Pick the guy whose ideas you like, not by what address he comes from.

I get pretty disgusted with our population, one of the poorest, least educated, and least healthy in our nation, all things Democrats are proven better on, and yet we vote overwhelmingly for the idiot in the White House. Go figure. The only solution you can come to is we've got a striking number of idiots, and with our population, the brainwashing on the right-wing media works. Empty minds need something to fill them, something of which Rove is quite aware.

10. This didn't pass.
Unfortunately, it died on the last day of the session.
I don't know if it can be brought back up during the special session.
