Karma's a bitch.
FAIRBANKS, Alaska -- Former Alabama Republican Gov. Bob Riley was injured in a motorcycle accident in Alaska on Sunday, and is receiving treatment at a hospital in Fairbanks, according to friends and family members.

Riley, 66, lost control of his Harley-Davidson motorcycle while traveling on a gravel road north of Fairbanks. He suffered 7 broken ribs, a broken clavicle and a punctured lung, according to Rob Riley, his oldest son.

Rob Riley said he spoke to his father late Sunday. He said doctors told him his father would be hospitalized for at least several days.

1. Was he trying to meet Sarah?
I know Fairbanks is a pretty long way from Wasilla, but well-- it's Riley.

2. I voted for Siegelman, but Riley seemed okay at first
If you forget the whole stolen election thing.

He put forth a truly progressive (for Alabama) tax plan. But after it fell by the wayside, he abandoned it and never tried again.

At least he wasn't as stupid and embarrassing as Guy Hunt or Fob.

It turned out he was as sleazy as the rest.

I just don't understand the motivation for his original tax plan. Unless it was simply trying to curry favor with dopes like me.

GADSDEN, Ala. — Former Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore, who has formed a committee to explore a possible run for president, suffered several broken ribs in a horse-riding accident at his farm near Gadsden.

Moore was injured Sunday, the same day that former Alabama Gov. Bob Riley was injured in a motorcycle crash in Alaska. Riley defeated Moore in the 2006 Republican primary for governor.

Rich Hobson, executive director of the Foundation for Moral Law, said the 64-year-old Moore fell while attempting to get on a horse. He said Moore went to an orthopedic specialist is now resting at home. Moore is president of the foundation.

Moore was removed from office as chief justice after refusing to move a Ten Commandments monument from lobby of the state judicial building.
