Why is the AFN trying to screw over Scott McAdams?
They deliberately canceled the candidate debate at their convention just to keep delegates from hearing what Scott has to say.

Scott is the true pro-Native candidate in this race. And, unlike Lisa, Scott will actually be part of a legislative organization if he wins(Lisa will be a powerless independent backbencher).

What the hell is Julie Kitka thinking?

1. Julie Kitka apparently knows on which side her bread is buttered.
We're hearing that a lot of individual Native people are pretty upset about this whole thing, the corporations spending so much money on Lisa's campaign and especially cancelling the Senate candidate debate. At least Scott is up there talking to people one on one. He is such a better candidate on Native issues. I was really impressed at the Alaska Dispatch debate last week.

2. When they canceled the debate, Scott should have IMMEDIATELY announced a rally
right outside the AFN convention. I'm guessing he could have got a LOT of the delegates to walk out.

They messed with Diane, too, as I recall.

3. Yes, they did.

AFN consistently endorses candidates friendly to the Native corporations without really considering what might be best for the people. I see a big battle looming between the corporations and the tribes, and it isn't going to be pretty. Scott is the only one I've heard seriously address these issues.
