So....is Lisa gonna be able to DO anything in her next term?
Her old party isn't one seat short of a majority, so they have no need to appease her(as our party did with HolyWarJoe), and a lot of her old caucus-mates will hold her partly responsible for the 'pugs being unable to take the Senate.

Will she have any clout at all?

And does she have any chance of winning any MORE terms after this?

1. Well
Technically we don't now for sure if she's been elected. And, even if she is, Joe Miller is gonna try his best to block her from being seated using every legal means at his disposal. '
But, all things being equal, Lisa is in the catbird seat...

3. If Lisa squeaks back into her Senate seat,
I'm going to be reminding her every time a critical vote comes up that she only has her position because Democrats and moderates voted for her. I think she needs to throw us a few bones now and then if she hopes to have moderates' support the next time around.

6. Does she report to the Senate on Jan 3rd?
if it's not concluded at that point? Or is the seat vacant?

7. Do Anything?
Sadly, Lisa's votes will be indistinguishable from what Joe's would have been. She will continue to vote according to the dictates of the corporate powers. Therefore, she will continue to push for the elimination of the EPA to satisfy the greed of the global polluters; she will continue the theater of "over-turning" the (very Republican, I might add) health insurance reform legislation; she will continue to try to convince all of us that Social Security is a major contributor to the deficit (denying the facts) as another way of further transferring the public largess into the hands of the financial industry; she will push for an extension of the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy (ignoring the reality of the adding to the deficit), and she will continue to support these ridiculous illegal, un winnable, insane wars. She will continue, at least through her acquiescence, to support the agenda of the crazy right that goose-steps us into the future.

9. Let's Talk about the "Lame Duck" Session
Will Lisa stand up for the working poor and the diminishing middle class and say, "No!" to extention of the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy?
Will Lisa stand up for the working poor and the diminishing middle class and say, "No!" to the transnational financial corporations' attempt to raid our SS?
Will Lisa stand up for the working poor and the diminishing middle class and say, "No!" to verisimilitudinous excuses to cut the deficit/national debt on our backs?

NO! She will not! She will continue to do the bidding of her corporate sponsors!

For that matter, will Mark get some courage and stand up for us? Ashamedly... probably not.
