What can you tell me about Blanche Lincoln? What's it gonna take to unseat
her?She is primarily responsible for killing the Dorgan-Grassley amendment to the Farm Bill which would have been the first real reform in decades. And on top of that she takes the wrong position on CAFO animal wastes, claiming they shouldn't be classified as toxic and thus making the operators subject to CERCLA laws and regs that would them responsible for environmental clean up and damages. FFS, even that asswipe James Inhofe has enough sense to the difference between shit and lilies when he steps in 'em.

2. I'm glad to hear it. But I'll be sending money to her opponent whenever her
seat comes up for election and I don't give a damn what party they're from. It's hard to get more republican than Lincoln on the major issues FCOL.

4. It's hard to get more Republican than Lincoln,
but Pryor has managed. He is running unopposed, this year. The Republican Party says they are satisfied with his representation. Isn't that nice?

3. I don't believe she will have a Democratic contender and is pretty secure in her seat. I would guess
the GOP might try to run Asa Hutchinson against her, but he got beat pretty badly for governor last year.

5. The Republican big problem in Arkansas is they don't
have anyone with a state wide name, the good news for them is they don't need one. Huckabee may be able to come back, but it will take years for him to win state wide again, and the only office left to him is the US Senate.

The Democratic big problem is that our candidates are Republicans who run as Democrats.

7. ha
Why would you want to remove her, I know her shes a nice person, very efficient on the hill. Arkansas democrats are always more moderate. Shes popular and will win without a doubt and no one can stop her, even Democrats down here don't take too kindly to liberals. She hasn't done anything wrong imo, and if you call moderatism wrong im gonna kindly laught at you.

8. Wes Clark?
snip>

But ... I did pick up some political gossip over by the frozen salmon.

A well-known Washington insider has been telling Arkies this weekend that the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee is trying to talk Sen. Blanche Lincoln out of running for re-election.

That would open the door for a Wes Clark candidacy. And U.S. Rep. Mike Ross would be in the race in a heartbeat. Then comes a deluge of candidates in the 4th District. Forget for a moment what a Boozman candidacy does for the House of Dominoes on the Republican side from Senate down.
