It's been a BAD 20 hours in my neighborhood......

First this, yesterday:

The carjacking was only about 1.5 miles from my office.

Then THIS, last night and ending this AM:
5 dead after 12-hour standoff at a San Fernando Valley home

This also was less than two miles from my office.

This REALLY isn't a high-crime area. REALLY. Sometimes it just seems like it.......

I worked in Woodland Hills for Glendale Fed. S&L back in the
late 70s.

Before that, I attended and graduated from CSUN.

It sure wasn't a high crime area then, either.

2. My school had its first ever lockdown

because there was a man with a gun across the street. Ukiah. And our f*****g sheriff overrode the off-sale beer and wine moratorium and supports some jerk selling beer and wine to go 336 feet from this school! I am really disgusted with the sheriff.

Very very scary. What is it with this week that is making people shoot each other.
