Dear S.F. Friends and Activists,
We are grateful for the positive response to our appeal for
a candidate to step forward to challenge Nancy Pelosi in her
own primary. Some very incredible people volunteered their
names, and we believe the decision of destiny has been made. What we need
now is to support this brave individual in every way possible.
The most pressing priorities are for people with video
cameras to help shoot video for YouTube and TV spots, hopefully with
the computer skills to capture the footage into mpgs and avis.
We are planning a live demonstration as soon as this coming
Thurday at noon in front of Nancy Pelosi's district office. We
understand the Iraq Moratorium people already have a regular Thursday
event going, so we are reaching out to them in the hope of getting some
synergy going, and boosting their own effective numbers.
So we need volunteers for this live event, to help collect
nominating petition signatures, and to act as organizers, people to
make signs, street artists of various kinds to bring their energy to
the event and more.
If there is anything you can do to help make this
intitiative a success, please email and let us know how you can
contribute your energy. Congress is a tipping point right now, especially
in light of the truly outrageous testimony of Mukasey today that the
administration just intends to continue brazenly defying
the law. But they need a serious push, and a viable primary challenge
against Pelosi is the one and only thing sure to provide that push.
Now let's show the world what kind of magic San Francisco
can turn on when we get really mobilized.
