California: love it or leave it?
Do you feel annoyed by people who come here from out of state and do nothing but bag on California?

2. Actually, I just feel a sort of benign sympathy
They have the profound misfortune of not being Californian, and no matter how hard they try they never will be. It's understandable that they feel, at a deep subconscious level, how deprived they are, and they manifest this loss as a whiny snarkitude. So, I feel bad for them (and then I laugh)...

3. i love it, i've been here 8 in April and i have no plans on moving away from here
ok well away from where i live but not out of state. Before i lived her i had my own idea of what i though California was like, call it ignorance or too much tv but it's far different than people think. I hate too sound cliche but....it really is the people, it's a great mix and quite a beautiful state. I'm sold.

16.  I have a freeper brother
who just annoys the shit out of me. Just moved here 6 years ago except for a stint at USMC in Barstow. Does nothing but rag on Feinstein and Boxer, including when he should be complaining to Mary Bono-Mack. Knows nothing of our history and hates Mexicans (why did he move here?)

6. I've visited plenty of states and would not to want to move anywhere else
EXCEPT for Oregon, Washington State, or British Columbia. I love the Pacific Coast too much to leave it.

7. I had that lovely pleasure one time.
Met these three guys in SF from Texas. We went to dinner and a movie and all they ever did was complain about California.

Needless to say, I didn't hang out with them again.

11. I used to get really defensive
but in the 2 years I've lived here, I've definitely learned to say "you hate it that much? Leave. One less car on the freeway!":P

Or, as I say to my relatives in Nebraska, "it's crowded for a reason. Nebraska? Not crowded...for a reason."

13. Not really
Just ask them why they don't leave if they dislike living in California.

That usually shuts them up.
