Occupy Fresno events thru Nov 9th. Nov 2 going to the school board again
Wednesday, November 2, Occupy Fresno to address school board regarding services to students, increase in class size, and administrator pay. Go to www.occupyfresnoca.com.

Friday, November 4, 3:30 Pm at Courthouse Park/Freedom Gazebo: "Tour the Bastard Banks;" march to downtown banks (other than Wells Fargo and B of A) to resist the banksters.

Friday, November 4, 4:30 – 6 NO demonstration at Shaw and N. Blackstone.

Saturday, November 5 Time of action to be announced Bank Transfer Day –in addition to supporting the Occupy Fresno/Wall Street action, Occupy Fresno and Peace Fresno are asking everyone to join the national “Bank Transfer Day” which encourages people to dump the big banks and transfer their money into credit unions or perhaps into some small banks that have not been involved in the massive fraud perpetrated on the people of the US by the big banks. November 5 has been identified as the deadline, but since it is a Saturday a lot of people might do it in the days leading up to November 5. Saturday, November 5 • 7 p.m. The Social Justice Committee of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Fresno presents the film Inside Job in the sanctuary of the UU church, 2672 E. Alluvial Ave. (between Chestnut and Willow).

This film exposes the truth behind the economic crisis of 2008 and the global financial meltdown. At a cost of over $20 trillion, the crisis resulted in millions of people losing their homes and jobs. Inside Job traces the rise of a financial industry gone rogue. Admission is free.

Sunday, November 6 • 5:30 – 9:30 p.m. Fresno Free College Foundation/KFCF Annual Banquet with keynote speaker Walter Turner. This event will take place at Wedgewood Wedding and Banquet, 4584 W Jacquelyn Ave in Fresno (behind Costco near 99 and Shaw). Tickets are $35 in advance ($40 at the door). Walter Turner is the host of “Africa Today,” a weekly news program originating from KPFA in Berkeley that provides information and analysis about Africa and the African Diaspora. His show can be heard locally Mondays from 7-8 p.m. on 88.1 FM.
