Is Early Voting still going on in Florida (Sun Nov 2)?
The local websites in Fla say no, but tv is saying today is the last day.

1. I don't think so. You can "early vote" by absentee ballot today
from 1-5, I think.

2. Depends on the county - Crist's Executive Order gave them the option
It mandated that the polling places be open 12 hours between 7 AM Saturday and 7 PM Sunday. Our Supervisor of Elections decided to just extend the hours on Saturday. Other counties may have decided differently.

I doubt any of the SoEs and their staff had time to update any of their websites.

In our county:
At the Leon County Courthouse, voters began arriving in the pre-dawn hours and formed a long line for the last day in the county of early voting.

The last voter made it through the doors at 7:40 p.m. this evening and when all the sites were tallied, 42,461 voters had cast their votes early in Leon County. To date, an additional 24,130 voters have returned their absentee ballot to the Supervisor of Elections Office. The combination of absentee and early voting represents 38.15% of the 174,544 total eligible voters in Leon County.

3. My mother is in Leon County and the website says 'no' today. It sounds like
Leon Cty is not open today. She was out of town for the last 3.5 weeks and was hoping to do it early, still. I guess she'll be stuck with everyone else on Tuesday.

4. Yes, Leon County polls were closed today
But Leon County Supervisor of Elections Ion Sancho thinks the lines should be short on Election Day since so many voted in Early Voting. He recommends voting between 9 am and 4 pm. Many voters go vote on the way to or from work so in the middle of the day the lines are much shorter.

Will she need help getting to the polls? The Tallahassee Obama HQ number is 597-8976 and they will be offering rides.
