bush fundraiser in ga
I was just reading the ajc story on bush's little fundraiser here in the atl & had to chuckle at this line:

Bush heaped his highest praise on Perdue, who is up for re-election, describing him as someone "who's done a heckuva good job as governor of the state."

Heckuva good job, sonny

Gosh...I seem to remember hearing that somewhere before..Hmmmmm...Oh, yeah. Wasn't it something like "you're doing a heckuva good job Brownie."
By the way, Bushie must not be getting much sleep lately. Yesterday afternoon, I was listening to Franken and his guest (sorry, don't remember the guy's name) and said guest spoke about covering the White House yesterday morning. I believe he said the repubs (Hastert) were leaving out the back door of the WH after telling W they wouldn't back the Dubai deal. Then I find out last night on DU that W is here in Georgia for a fundraiser.(Who knew? Not me, and I live in Georgia. Oh,yeah. I must have missed the memo. Oh, riiiight...I wouldn't go if I was invited anyway.)
So, this morning,(Friday, March 10), Bushie is answering questions on CNN about the Dubai deal.
Gosh, I forgot he was in New Orleans for a photo op again, 2 days ago(Wednesday, March 8, checking out the Katrina mess, which is still there after SIX FUCKING MONTHS!!
What day did GWB get back from his India trip??? The guy must be exhausted. All that negative energy he's receiving.
Being Prezdent is such "hard work". :sarcasm:
I guess he's using up his "hard work" quota in the last few days. I guess he'll have to go clear some brush soon at Crawford. Dry out, or whatever.
End of my rambling.

2. shrub fund raising visit.
I thought something interesting about the 'media' coverage of his fund raising trip to GA. This morning, I was watching channel 5 (local Faux affiliate) and they reported that there were $1 million in contributions. While driving to work, AM 750 WSB (home of bortz hannity and savage) reported that there were $1.3 million in contributions. Then at lunch while reading the AJC, they reported $1.5 million in contributions. I wonder if next week, I will read articles that report $2 million in contributions. I guess I just found it amusing that with each report I read (heard) the amount kept growing, somehow. I guess that is the ole librul media.

Kevin.
