Students chant 'Assassinate Obama' on school bus
Source: 2NEWS.TV

Whoolery and his wife couldn't believe it when their second and third graders got off the bus last week and told them what other students were saying.

"They just hadn't heard anything like this before," said Whoolery. "They were chanting on the bus, 'Assassinate Obama. Assassinate Obama.' Then adding in a name sometimes of a classmate on the bus, 'Assassinate Obama and Kate.'"

The Whoolery's explained to their kids what assassinate means then contacted the school about what was happening.

"I think the thing that struck us was just like, 'Where did they get the word and why would they put that word and that person together?'" said Whoolery.

2. interesting. From the end.....
The Whoolery's moved to Rexburg a year ago. They came from the Middle East where they lived for three years.

In all their time living there, they never heard any comments similar to these about any leaders there or here.

It is apparent the US is number one in teaching hate!

:grr:

8. Never heard it during 3 years in Egypt
The closest to that I've heard was a story from an Egyptian woman who works full-time as a tour guide. (And part-time as a language teacher. She's fluent in English, Russian, French and of course, Arabic. Currently studying Greek.)

She was hired by a large group of Americans who came in to Alexandria on a cruise ship. They were chanting "down with Bush," though some went for the shorter and more elegant "f!ck Bush."

4. Where do kids get their words and ideas????????????????
Geezus. One word: the adults around them.

Sometimes I think this country is run and
operated by people with a pre-K mentality.

7. Rexburg, Idaho bills itself as "America's Family Community"
See http://www.rexburg.org/

Is this " family values", or what?

9. Family Values, eh?
Why is always the alleged value voters who are the ones blowing up building and preaching hate to their kids, then acting surprised when said kids kill a minority or a homosexual?

10. Rexburg
I live in Rexburg. This is not an isolated incident. I used to be a member of the LDS Church, but I left it because it no longer made sense to me. I can tell you that the Madison County School District has a discriminatory hiring policy that basically bars alternative opinion from even existing at its schools. That's why this happened: Intolerance and bigotry is protected and allowed in the Madison County school system and at BYU-Idaho.

But this story about a few ignorant kids should not take away from the fact that Rexburg is an awesome place to live. If you want more information about this area, please email me at wcsl.02@gmail.com. We are in the process of moving a more progressive agenda into this area, and we feel confident that the outdated and racial ideas of the people who have called this place home for the last 80 years or so will eventually be gone from this area.

Don't spread gossip on the internet about this town, just pray for it. Thank you.

11. It is not "gossip" if it is true. The "place" may be awesome - it's people that make a good
area uninhabitable.
