I stand with the unions

I stand with the unions and public employees of Wisconsin.
If Idaho had a stronger union presence we might have some labor laws. This is a state with almost no employee rights. When I moved here many years ago I actually called the labor board to find out if what my new employer was doing was legal. She said yes, Idaho workers basically have no rights.

1. So I come here to break the two month post drought, and what do I see?

Somebody beat me to it. At least that poor suicidal man can have some rest now.

idahoblue, if you weren't living here yet at the time, the Right to Work battle was possibly the bitterest episode in modern Idaho political history. I was a union member then and the work environment was "interesting", to say the least. After being separated from the company due to an office closure, I eventually found work elsewhere. I don't even remember now what the issue was there, but I also called someone at the Department of Labor (may have been the same woman) and was basically told the same thing. That must be a tough job, eh?

2. drought

Idaho is lost in a sea of red with shores of apathy. But I do love living here. I live in a blue county but just try to get more than 6 to show up at a Democrats meeting or any kind of progressive event. Very sad.
