3. I think Quinn is not thinking clearly though . . .

If he thinks the answer to the states budget crisis is cutting funding to nursing homes and Circuit Breaker. I worked in a program that signed up people for Circuit Breaker in Illinois which helped pay seniors prescription drug costs. I lost my job due to funding cuts but have volunteered to do it on my own time because I saw how important it was to make our seniors money stretch as far as it can. When you have several hundred dollars a month in drug costs and have less than a thousand in ss coming in, something has to give and I guarantee you will see seniors cutting back on needed drugs so that they can continue to do things like oh, lets' say, heat their homes! I had one of my Circuit Breaker clients end up in the hospital because she was trying to save money by burning wood in her fireplace. She ended up in the hospital with carbon monoxide poisening and nearly died. If Quinn eliminates Illinois Cares RX or even reduces it, we are going to see alot more seniors end up in the hospital because they are trying to cut costs in other ways. I can't believe there are not more people screaming about these sugggested cuts!!

4. Exactly what I said to my spouse= isn't it nice that we do not have to
go through all that and I will gladly take the income tax increase. It will be hard to lure business out of IL to WISC when they see the mess those 'leaner' govs make of a state. They have been trying now good luck.

I do not live in Chicago but I bet Rahm will have some union problems down the line if he gets in and most likely rightly so....they are already trashing him as the NAFTA dude and he keeps promising the best city services at the best price ....Chicago will be his dream nonunion Walmart city....

5. We had a close call there. Thank God Brady was so inept.
