Illinois Posts Greatest Job Gains In the Nation, Wisconsin? Biggest decrease.

Unemployment rates fell in 36 states in October and rose in only 5, the Labor Department said Tuesday.

Illinois added 30,000 jobs, the most among states. ...
Wisconsin reported the biggest job loss, a drop of 9,700.

1. I wish some of those jobs in Illinois would drift down our ways . . .
in southern Illinois, jobs are scarce and getting more so each day. Our unemployment in this county is now over 12 percent. I have been out of work for nearly a year and I have a Master's degree. I live next door to and care for my elderly mother who has stage 4 colon cancer so no, moving is not an option.

2. I'm sorry to hear about your situation Dolly.
According to the article Illinois is doing better than in other states. What really makes me sick is the race to the bottom where Gov Quinn has to give businesses such insane huge tax breaks so that they come or they stay. I don't think it's his fault. I think they need a federal law so that states can't steal each other's businesses so easily and we can retain some type of tax base from big business. It all makes me want to vomit.
